I've had a love/hatedislike sort of relationship with Ms. Zooey ever since I saw her in Elf with Will Ferrell. She's charming, beautiful, a lovely singer, quirky, seems fun, and pretty darn funny. What's not to like, eh? Well, I guess my alpha-female h8r side came out with claws at full mast ready to slash at the first sign of a weakness. How could she be that pretty and that silly? Tell me universe! I was not sold on The New Girl, Zooey's sitcom on Fox, at the beginning. In fact, it took me several episodes to find a groove (to be fair, I think it took the show's writers several episodes to find their groove, well, and Stella, she found hers so no worries there). But now I can't stop giggling at the show and while I don't love it due to Ms. Z only, she adds something irreplaceable to the cast. I love her roommates. Schmidt is the best. B-E-S-T. In addition, I stumbled upon a blog called Hello Giggles and none other than ZD herself is a founder, contributor, and writer. It's where I saw her and Joseph Gordon-Levitt singing this adorable version of "What are you doing New Year's Eve?". Anyway, I think we're better together than we are apart, so welcome to my circle of friends and acceptance and admiration Zooey Deschanel, I've sort of always known you'd be here. Sooner or later.
